Private Lessons

Private lessons are tailored to the needs and requests of each client. Some clients are in the process of preparing new vocal material for auditions for as early as the next day; while others are interested in growing their overall understanding of vocal process, expanding their vocal range and/or "getting in shape" for future auditions or performances. Clients are given individual attention designed to develop their uniqueness, flexibility, vocal range, stamina and joy in singing while maintaining their vocal health. In beginning sessions a series of animated video tapes is also utilized to orient each student with the muscles and organs that function as a team in coordinating the vocal process of breath, pitch and resonance. Warm-up exercises are devised to promote that coordination and to address the vocal challenges present in the repertoire sung in each session. Exploring the opportunities found in the text and musical style of each piece of music, singing actors will discover how to synergistically incorporate their emotions into their breathing process and develop vocabularies of vocal sounds unique to each piece while also incorporating the physicality of their acting disciplines. This approach promotes a more comprehensive, full body coordination that enhances the singing actor's communication skills and musical performance

Group Classes

Group classes provide a positive environment for singing actors to perform in the company of their peers. This is the perfect opportunity for working through the nerves that come with singing new audition material in public for the first time and to continue refining your overall performance disciplines. Class size is limited so that each participant has ample time to sing, rework, and discover new possibilities in their chosen repertoire. Hone your audition and performance skills. Replace any fear and nervousness you might find in the audition and/or performance process with the joy of singing and the ability to perform with confidence.
